I joined the SGA, first and foremost, to represent the Ross Commons community: our interests, our concerns, and all things in general that Rossers would like to see done. This means improvements to Ross like an ATM in the Ross Commons building, better communal spaces in Ross, and reduced lines at Ross Dining (for example). Of course, there are general Middlebury issues I’d like to tackle as well. My two main areas of focus on this front are 1) actualizing practical programs that promote inclusivity for people of all walks in life, and 2) fostering a healthy dialogue between differing moral, ethical, and political viewpoints on campus. I intend to place an emphasis on practical, rather than oratorical, solutions regarding all the issues I’ve mentioned above.
